Our Song/Rhyme this fortnight is from Margaret

(How Much Is) That Doggie in the Window?

Song by Patti Page
How much is that doggie in the window?
The one with the waggly tail
How much is that doggie in the window?
I do hope that doggie's for sale
I must take a trip to California
And leave my poor sweetheart alone
If he has a dog, he won't be lonesome
And the doggie will have a good home
How much is that doggie in the window?
The one with the waggly tail
How much is that doggie in the window?
I do hope that doggie's for sale
I read in the papers there are robbers
With flashlights that shine in the dark
My love needs a doggie to protect him
And scare them away with one bark
I don't want a bunny or a kitty
I don't want a parrot that talks
I don't want a bowl of little fishies
He can't take a goldfish for a walk
How much is that doggie in the window?
The one with the waggly tail
How much is that doggie in the window?
I do hope that doggie's for sale

INSPIRATION FROM THE DESIGN TEAM

Lorie using Prudence

Inspired by a twist on "doggie in the window",

in the dog's world, they would not have dogs as pets, so...

Margaret using Dog Tales

inspired by first line Doggie in the window

Nan Inspired by "If he has a dog he won't be lonesome"

Susan inspired by the word 'window'

Theresa inspired by doggie in the window

Cara using Dog Tales
Of course I had to have the doggie who always makes me happy and this one also has a waggly tail!

  1. Aw! Such a fun song to choose! As a dog lover with a 125-pound Great Dane, I especially enjoyed all the DT creations featuring dogs!
